Steven Hale EA, CFP

Steve opened his current practice in 1999 after serving as the tax practice manager for eight years with Fivestar Tax and Financial Services. At Fivestar, Steve was responsbile for interviewing, training and providing support to the other tax professionals as well as handling client relations and preparing tax returns. Steve currently prepares over 400 income tax returns annually including individuals, trust, corporate, and partnership returns.

In 1994 he passed the enrolled agent exam administered by the IRS and earned the designation of EA (Enrolled Agent). After a two year training period, Steve passed the necessary exams to become a Certified Financial Planner Certificant. This background gives him a well-rounded body of knowledge to assist clients in a variety of fields.

Steve graduated in 1974 from SIU-Edwardsville with a degree in Mathematics Education and augmented that education with accounting classes at Blackhawk College and Western Illinois University.
